Looking for a Script

Not quite a message board...

I'm looking for a script that would allow me to set up a board where only one person was allowed to post messages. In other words, it wouldn't look like a message board to visitors, but the guy who was allowed to post new messages could access it from his computer across the country.

This is for someone that will be posting headlines and stories on my site, but doesn't actually live in the same town with me or have access to my publisher (Front Page). Visitors would be able to hit this newsboard and read what he has to say, but not respond to him or post their own messages.

Any suggestions? I was going to try and modify my current message board script but it isn't being too friendly.

All advice would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to WebmasterWorld luckyjoe - sounds like you need to set up a weblog (or blog as the industry calls them) for your writer.

Here's [webmasterworld.com] a really good thread on blogs here at WebmasterWorld.

Greymatter that maccas mentioned is one of the most popular blogging scripts/programs.
