Brett, my apologies, I didnt realise that was the case...sorry but youve shut us out the last one, I just need some closure on a comment from the post ;)
Justa, which part of the green didnt you like? :) and btw, which large fonts are you referring to, it might be bad HTML but youd be doing me a great favour by pointing it out
If this line of thought is not suitable for the forum, feel free to mail me if you have time :)
ok....now thats over and done with....ill post to other peoples topics instead!
Relative to "Largest Fonts", I think justa was refering to the way your page changes when a user changes their Explorer fonts option to "largest".
I hope you enjoy being here. You'll find many conversations that go into specific areas in quite a bit of depth (there's a "Site Search" function at top and bottom of each thread).
For private conversation with another member, you can use the "Sticky Mail" feature (see the top of the page menu choices).
You're also welcome to begin threads about specific challenges and problems you are running into, or solutions you've discovered - that's a big part of what makes this forum work for all of us.
Ive never thought of the font changing option as an issue....is it? Mines has been on normal from day 1 and ive had steady access to the net since '95, ive never had the need to change.
Do you have past experience with this font changing feature in browser? Sounds like something worth looking into now.....
and anyways, should i be using alternative HTML tags to sort this ugliness?
Thanks in advance
And another point, which I;m always bringing up here at WebmasterWorld is that Windows NT/2000 etc users have a specified font-size (large/small) in their installation*... this can make a huge difference to how a site appears and there's no way of telling which installation a visitor has.

* right click on your desktop and select properties - you'll find the option somewhere. Does anybody know if this applies to systems other than NT & 2000
An annoying section of our customers set their desktop to 1024*768 and then change the font size to large in order to view the screen.
Some change it in the windows settings, some change it on the browser.
Almost every time we have a cutomer reporting a 'funny' on the web page this is the root cause.
We design using CSS and text is specified in pixels, so the problem is minimised - but still throws the odd spacing error.

Yes in all Win OSs you can right click, go to properties, go to settings. On this screen you have a dropdown for font size (This part might vary from OS to OS on Win platform but it is an option).
I set a high resolutiuon myself and bump font size up to "large".
When making a new page I bump down to 800X600 and also choose "large" fonts just to see what it looks like. Yes I know 640X480 is still around but the particular site I do this on logs show around 2% are set to this rez..
