Lynx doesn't support HTTPS?

Ok, I just always took it for granted....

Hmmmm.... Wanted to check on a secure site we were developing, to see how it appears to text-based browsers, only to discover that Lynx, at least as it's installed on my linux box and the server that I have an account on at Pair, does not support HTTPS.

Any suggestions on a text-based browser that does support HTTPS?

I've read that w3m is very good, supports HTTPS and tables, and is smaller than lynx. Also, here's a page with info about SSL, HTTPS and Lynx
