Hi - I'm a volunteer editor with ChefMoz Restaurant Guide (an offspring of DMOZ Open Directory). ChefMoz is seeking to index restaurants throughout the world.

[chefmoz.org...]

We were just discussing internally the possibility of offering a "search box" for webmasters to plugin for their web sites. Would anyone be interested in adding a search box to their site? You can search by restaurant name, or all restaurants by city.

A Beta version is posted here to test out:

A couple different sizes are being worked on right now. Would anyone find this useful to add to their website?

ChefMoz belongs to Netscape, and does not have any banners or advertising on its site to distract users.

P.S. . Everyone is welcome to apply as an editor for their hometown! We are short of volunteer editors to add restaurants and edit reviews.

Gamiziuk, welcome to our forums.

Guys, I've checked out chefmoz -it's going to be a good travel site resource, particularly for larger towns and cities. They may be light on content for small-town USA (my area of coverage), but perhaps enough editors will sign up to flesh that out -other countries, too.

Thanks rcjordan!

Though ChefMoz is not just a US project (I hope our editors from the UK, Canada, and Australia don't see this!)

I tried not to be US-centric (NFFC, engine, Oilman, Rencke, Woz, etc., etc. will fuss otherwise)... I even added the phrase other countries, too.

Hey Gamiziuk,

Yes I would be interested. We run a wedding site and offer help on planning. This would be usefull for people planning rehearsal dinners. How should I get ahold of you. You may contact me through my sticky mail or use the e-mail address in my profile.

I'd like to know the same thing? I did a quick spot-check about 6 months ago and it looked very, very stale.
