Which are the highest paying CD/DVD sites?

The only two I can comment on are Amazon which pays up too 15% on a direct link item (but usually 2.5 - 5%) and Barnes and Noble which pays 5% on everything.

Both pay and on time.

I don't know about cookies.

Hi,

Columbia House pays $16 per member. It converts and they pay. They use Linkshare. I nearly doubled the income that I made with Amazon the prior month. They were offering a free shipping promo however.

They may have lowered their payout rates for new affiliates though. You will have to check.

Also, don't be discouraged at first because it takes them a few days to a week to post sales in the reporting because they approve all orders.

It is the bottom line that counts in any affiliate programs. Highest paying may not convert as well as another merchant.

Amazon isn't going to pay 15% on videos and CD's, though. Only books - and only certain books under certain circumstances. It is still, by far, the most versitile program to get involved with. They do have a certain "annoyance factor" but there is never a problem with getting paid.

The cookie lasts for 24 hours, but there are ways around this. (Using the new direct "add-to-cart" button, for example, doesn't rely on an associate's cookie. If someone adds an item to their cart, then comes back six months later and finishes the checkout process, you still get the commission.)
