Has anybody have experience with them?

Hi,

We got an offer to be an advertiser at Dark Blue Affiliates Network. Has anybody have experience using their network?

We are an online travel agent that sell tour packages. Will their network be useful for us?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm also interested in any input somebody might have regarding them since we were approached too.

I know nothing about affiliate programs and I'm not even sure what questions to start asking to find info.

I also got an email from these guys to be a merchant with them. I just felt something was wrong with them, they said they didnt make any money, couldnt understand why they would do it.

So information from anyone with experience of them will be warmly received here too.

They get varying reviews out on the web, which is usual for aff networks that aren't well-known. I tend to steeply discount many of the "where's my check, it's been a week since I signed up with them?" messages you see while out on affiliate patrol. I do know that some affiliate pros have signed up with them, but it's still a wait-and-see for most. As an potentinal advertiser, I just don't have enough info to make a judgement, but as an affiliate, I'd say it's worth a shot.

I run, not walk, away from any affiliate program or network that makes me sign up before I can find any information. On Dark Blue's site I can find incidental references to only four programs, no specifics on tracking, reporting and payment. Nothing I would need to make a decision.

Just my plain 2 cents...

Jim

Thanks for your input. This stuff is new to me and I'm not sure where to start to figure it out.

I found it pretty odd that their site is so non-informative.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the input. I managed to sign up as one of their affiliates and found out that currently they only have a few number of advertiser.

Their revenue comes from pop under that will load on the affiliates sites. They stated that they will share this revenue 50/50 with the advertiser.

How's this sound?

The usual splits are 50/50 or 60/40. But, the site you mentioned as being in the pop-under is owned by darkblue, essentially a house ad --so I'd say this sounds a bit shaky.

They are fairly new, they don't have many merchants, but a few of the merchants are quite large outfits (I'm not sure how they managed to get those accounts), they are associated with pageseeker and roar ... owned by the same Australian company which has been quite successful in those pay per click search engines, and they have some clever ways of monotizing traffic.

profitpuppy,

How did you find out who their merchants are? I can't find the info on their site.
