Christmas in Affiliate Land

How have affiliates found Christmas sales in the past?

Ok. It's still not for almost two months but realistically everybody should be planning/coding.This will be my first Christmas with affilliate code on a site.

What have some of the more experienced members done to market Christmas? Can anybody recommend strategies that they have tried in the past? Things to do or not to do? I realize these are pretty broad questions but I have no idea what to expect at all.

Thinking about xmas on Nov 6 for the first time seems to be quite late. To really participitate from the xmas craze, you should have your keyword optimized pages in the engines by mid October the latest.

I have one site that averages around $150-200 per month most of the year but jumps to $500-600 during Nov. and Dec. Christmas can be a huge money maker.
