Hi !
I would like to know if the Japanese audience is a "good" one for Amazon. I'm wondering if it worths doing efforts to target this audience. I'm a small webmaster of a pc game. For now, i receive good earnings from all the other Amazon but as i really don't know the Japanese people (their tastes for pc games, etc.) i'm asking testimonies.
Is an English speaking site a problem to reach this target or do i really really have to translate (via babelfish or stg like that, as i'm a small webmaster) my pages?
Other advices welcomed !

Hi webbie,

Over in the Asia-Pacific Forum [webmasterworld.com] we had a similar discussion [webmasterworld.com] just recently. If you read Bills post you will get an idea of the work involved to set up pages for the Japanese market. To be honest, I am not sure the effort would be worth it for Amazon commission. You might want to read this thread [webmasterworld.com] as well.

Also, most Japanese will have their profiles set up at Amazon.co.jp which does not carry across to Amazon.com...this personally causes me no end of frustration ;)

The Japanese audience is great for Amazon, but remember that they have their own Amazon, and it doesn't play by the .com's rules. You'd have to expect a lot of translation work to target Japan for this type of affiliate site.
