Does anyone know when the different affiliate places , cj.com are going to make their code XHTML compliant ? Ive been working all week to make my site XHTML compliant but I spend most of my time fixing affiliate links ie. closing img tags , converting to lower case etc.

Also , which programs use XML ?

My guess would be that we're in for a fairly long wait as I've not seen the issue surface much at all. The problem goes well beyond the affiliate networks; non-compliant 3rd-party creative such as search boxes and drop-downs are going to be addressed very slowly --if at all, IMO. Also, even some in-house ad serving scripts may cause compliance problems.

Remember the PNG graphics format. Everybody has been hyping it up since before the Millennium, yet it has never taken off. Just because something is better doesn't mean it will be implemented :(
