dumb question but....what is a referred lead..im just starting with cj and cant work it out!

A referrel is a vistor sent from one site to another. A referred lead means that visitor one from say your site and then and filled out some information on the site you sent them to. That other site now has a lead, they have information about that visitor with the chance of doing business with them.

but i could just do that myself..pretend to be someone interseted and then get paid without makin a booking...how do they guard against that?...do they validate those details or something...still..sounds good....!thanks for telling me!

Yes, leads are checked, and your fee will be reversed if the lead is not valid. If you are caught cheating, you could be kicked out of the merchant's program, or kicked out of CJ entirely. If you have serious ambitions to make serious money you will keep all your marketing practices squeaky clean.
