Hi folks,

I need to post a newsletter for a customer who provide me with a 200 000 emails database !

How can I do that without risking SPAM ?
What software to use ?
What special precautions ? email check...

I appreciate your help as this matter seems complex to me even after long hours of reading on this subject.

It is always a risk. Even legit subscribers mistake legit email for spam quite often.

Lots of different options:

Some of the email list software will handle this type of thing.

Maybe someone with experience with a list this size will chime in?

The size of the list isn't a problem - just split it up into more manageable units. What is a problem is the list itself. Are these names that the client collected from its own web site, using an opt-in list? Or were they harvested, purchased, or otherwise obtained without the users' knowledge?

Unless the client created these addresses using an opt-in list, there is no way to make it look like it is not spam - because it would be spam by definition - unsolicited commercial e-mail.

There are lots of programs to use to send this kind of thing - just do an internet search.

Thanks for your replies,

but anyone would have experienced one of those programs ?

Because I installed some of them
Glock easy mail
Gammadine
Advanced remailer
... and so

They do the work but they look pretty undersized compared to the amount of mail I need to send.

SO I will certainly try one of them, but if someone got any experience with other software, feel free to post the name :)

Thank you,
Philippe
