I noticed people saying that $3-5 CPM is the going rate, where can i find this?

Totally depends on what your website offers, and what people are coming there to find. I'm only starting out too and think I would find it hard to reach a $2 CPM just now, but I've read of some people getting upto a $22 CPM and higher for certain niche markets.

Does anyone know where to find current industry information on CPM rates? I see where a couple of you are reading references to these figures. Where are you getting that info?
