However, is the eMinimalls code viable as an Adsense alternative ad code? Putting eMinimalls as alternative ads would be a great way to test out the program.
If the code is viable, has anyone within the Adsense publisher community experiences with this program in terms of CPC and CTR (ballpark)?

I also like the look of these ads, with the cute little product images. I hear the ctr is much less than adsense, but the epc is a lot higher.
I'd like the option to change the default background color of eminimall ads from white, to make the ads blend more seamlessly with the color scheme of my sites.
What I found really interesting from the ProBlogger site was Darren's estimations on CPC with eMinimalls, at even 5 to 6 times that of Adsense (based on 5 weeks of usage).
The CTR for him was much lower (based on a number of factors, one of them being the lack of ad inventory, the program's a new one), resulting in total earnings of about 1.5/4 of his AS earnings.
Also, leaving out the contextual matching, these ads should be able to be used on the same page with Adsense. That's great news.
But, how about using them as alternative ads within Adsense system (to replace PSA's with them)? Is there a way to get the eMinimall ads to be shown at that slot?
I am currently using it, but their terms also prohibit CTR and CPC specifics ;)
They appear to have a very small inventory of advertisers, which is not suprising. However, as part of a well-balanced advertising program, they could be good. I've take to rotating YPN, AdSense, and Chitika on pages on my forums to see if I can defeat banner blindness a bit. The Chitika clicks (although there haven't been many), are paying a 1/2 buck each.
I'm testing them in place of AS on a forum page.
i've got the ads running on 3 sites, that also have either adsense or ypn. i have very targeted sites that chitika has ample inventory for. i'll report on the results after a week.
Speaking of YPN, I applied some time ago and never heard from them.
Should I re-submit?

CTR of Chitika VS AdSense = AdSense wins hands down.
EPC of Chitika VS AdSense = For my niche - Chitika wins.
Based on a whopping ONE DAYs stats from Chitika compared to my last 30 day average with AdSense:
AdSense ads are 5x more likely to be clicked on.
Chitika ads pay 20x more per click.
The only ads I'm seeing are high dollar items - the cheapest of them being "apple i-pod"
Obviously, one days worth of stats is useless for making decisions - but I like what I see thus far. Gives me hope for forum monitization yet...
I wonder if G plans to introduce a "keyword choice" option?

Now that would really enable publishers to get their ads targeted to their niche.
Does that means its only for US publishers? I don't see that on their site.

Does that means all clicks from these countries are FRAUDLENT? If second is true then it means 1/3 population of the world are cheaters :).
After more playing around, I find the possibilities endless in setting keywords.

This is the really beauty of Chit that everyone needs to be aware of.
You can choose specific ads from their inventory (which is very large guys) from Shopping.com and some other sites. If you put in the name of a product you saw on one of those sites, you will get ads for that product.
This allows you to pick and choose your PPC advertisers, and I believe they are the first to accomplish this.
As far as stats being delayed, they are not. Their stats are only updated once per day. Regarding the past two days, yes, there was a glitch in the system which dumped the stats, but Chit says they should be able to get them back.
While the jury is still out on them, I'm a bit excited about the potential.
We are finally able to have alternatives to AdSense so are income sources can be diversified.
We need clarification.

Well I did notice it was all products and no services. A lot of my users are looking for advice on professional services. Chitika isn't much use there.
When it comes to products though - and there are a lot of potential very pretty and very expensive products in my niche - I'm like a kid in a sweet shop on Chitika!
What it reminds me of, more than anything, is those first heady days of the affiliate industry where you would hand choose products and make code and stuff. When the networks still tracked, cookies weren't stuffed and parasites were a dark and sinister twinkle in an evil scammer's eye!
In other words, I feel right at home.
I've been browsing their suppliers and their suppliers suppliers and finding the *exact right products* for the recommendations I've been making all along (and hoping to get Adsense ads for).
I regrouped after the disaster that was the free serps, the parasites and the networks with their hands in the cookie jar. I found new ways to get traffic and monetise it, and Chitika is going to benefit from that - plus from my enormous and highly specific mailing list (my customers have told me exactly what they are looking for).
I think Adsense will still be fine for selling services, but for actual products? Real stuff that arrives through the post after you hand over the magic numbers?
My old affiliate instincts say Chitika is going to beat Adsense hands down if you have the patience and a hand crafted site. Which I have. Plus its PPC.
Any affiliates remember The Professor - the old time direct mail marketer? I never ended up worse off following his advice, and he was quite right when he said anyone unwilling to pay upfront for an eyeball / wasn't serious. If you put that together with 100% targeting (I know its 100% when I do it myself!) and those cute little pictures - plus data on which products are the most popular right there at the suppliers (sometimes) I think the combination is unbeatable.
Adsense sure chose the wrong week to screw up their targeting..!

Krod, if you want to run eminimalls alongside adsense, you have to disable contextual targeting in Chitika's code:

Anyone had any luck putting multiple keywords in the Minimalls code - doesn't seem to work for me - no mention of how to do it in the FAQs
