I have recently signed a contract with TradeDoubler and was wondering if anyone else can give me any feedback on their experiences with them, how many sales were you getting etc? It would be a bonus if you work for a hotel supplier and has a partnership with TD.....

When you say signed a contract, do you run an affiliate scheme or are you looking to join some?

My only experience with Tradedoubler is as a victim of their annoying log spam (as phony referrers). They ruin my stats and I wonder how they trick people into thinking they are doing something worthwhile.

If I have the wrong impression please enlighten me.

Hi

From a merchants point of view you will get a decent amount of affiliates who mostly know what they are doing and as long as you have a good service you can expect to make good sales volumes through affiliates.

You will also most likely pay handsomely for the privalege. Set up fees and consultancy fees dont come cheap but they are the biggest player in the UK so comes with the territory.

As an affiliate they have been working on thei response times and seem to have improved support these days from the TD of old. Plenty of programs to choose from and some even pre paying now for speedy commission validation.

Some nice new features for delivering creative although still got a bit to go on issues like ad blocking and spyware part 2.

All in all they provide a good enough service for such a decent sized player for me to rate them as my number one competitor in the network space so they must be doing something right. Its a close call between them and another network but they edge it for me with all the improvments they have made recently.

If I had a spare 80 mill I would make them an offer

How very unbiased Malcolm, like you would really want to buy TD!

This is WW mate :-) On here I have to maintain a balanced view .

You would be surprised on the buying front if I had the money and it was my choice alone I could think of worse outfits to obtain.

A spring clean here or there and it would be come a valuable asset and save digging around in Europe myself with my limited Geordie Vocab :-)

See you on Friday

Thanks for the message Joe. The deal we have signed with them is one where they will assist in the selling of our accommodation and we will pay them commission, we have thousands of hotels worldwide and they will sell our hotels to their affiliates.

i hope this makes a bit more sense now.
