What is Adsense and what is it's relationship to AMers? Thank you...I am truly learning a lot at this forum. I have only started about a week ago. Not expecting a check because I don't even know the best methods for marketing products yet but I am getting there.

It's a program run by Google that serves ads to your site based on the content of the page. Many people find that AdSense coexists nicely with affiliate content. I have been an Amazon Associate (their name for affiliate) for years, for example, and joined AdSense a year and a half ago. I am doing well with both.

See the separate Google AdSense forum on WebmasterWorld.

So how does it work and why are so many people here raving about Adsense?

I thought I explained that.

You put some code, basically provided by Google but customizable, on the page or pages where you want the ads. Google serves ads based on the content of the page.

If one of your visitors clicks on the ad, you get paid--anywhere from a penny to a few dollars.

That's the basic idea, but you can read more about it at Google.

People rave about it because it's so easy to put in place and it pays very well. Better than banner ads, better than popups, much better. And often better than affiliate marketing.
