Pls help linkshare login not working

After I installed and removed an adware software I could not aceess the linkshare login screen. I get "the page cannot be displayed message". My host file is emptied too. Pls help. I am on XP.

I'm having the same problem from two separate networks and computers.

A search of the WebmasterWorld archives suggests this might be a problem with a misconfigured server at Linkshare.

The surprising thing is that this problem seems to affect only a small number of people at a time.

yes. when I check the url at alertra sometimes it says it is Ok and othertimes it says certain servers are not working.

Is it OK to do business with linkshare or is it a waste of time?

Linkshare goes wonka doodle (technical term) sometimes, ya learn to deal with it. They have their share of problems and may be a little slower on the payments than CJ, but I've been using them for almost 3 years and you do get paid.

Although I will say I really hate the new consolidated payment thing, seems the biggest merchant check always misses the first consolidated payment.

The way LinkShare is setup, there login is the ........linksynergy.com format, same as an affiliate link.

Ad blockers generally recognize LinkShare links as ads and block them and when you click on "login" on the LinkShare homepage, I think the ad blocker software sees this as an affiliate link and blocks it too.

Last time Norton was installed here with the ad blocker on, it was impossible to login to LinkShare without making some changes.
