How many days to test?

I was wondering how many days you would recommend to test an affiliate ad/banner/box before trying another. A site i'm using to test sees about 150 uniques per day. I'm trying to find an ad that will convert but so far no luck with mall retailers despite it being a related site. Thanks

Banners do not convert half as well as text links in my experience. I would expect something like <0.5% CTR on banners. Try slipping a visible text link into your content or somewhere visible to the user.

You could try both at the same time and make a comparison. That way you will know for certain which is the better performer.

I agree about text links.

As far as how long to test, you'll know quickly, a week should do.
