I have a blog that I use amazon for. I tried adsense but due to my content all i got was public service announcements. I've made 78 cents this month and want to boost my earnings. How do I encourage people to buy stuff through my links. I talk about books and post links to the books but few even take a look at the link according to amazons stats. I'm not looking to get rich here. I just want to cover bandwidth which is 10 bucks a month. How do I increase my click rate?

Are you linking direct to the product page? How much traffic does your site get? What conversion rates do you get?

There probably isn't a "silver bullet" that we can give you. You need to increase your traffic and write our articles so that your readers are compelled to buy the books.

To increase your click through rate, try displaying 2 links to the product - one just below the title of the blog entry and one at the bottom of the review.

Include a cover image. People like to see pictures.

Choose books that are likely to be of interest to your visitors, but that they aren't likely to own (so new books, or less-known older books). Your text should give them reasons to buy the book, though you don't need to come right out and say "You should buy this book because of X, Y, and Z."
