Can we edit the link text?

I'm sure it's probably in the CJ TOS but I can't seem to spot it. Can we edit the text of a link if we don't change the meaning? An example would be "Free Download". Could we use get free download or get download free and with no capital letters.

Also there are two options "Encrypt Link" and "Hide tracking code in Link". Should we use both or just one of the two.

I haven't read their TOS in years, but I wouldn't worry about editing the link text. I do it all the time. I suppose some advertisers might object, but in general you should be OK as long as you aren't altering a trademarked phrase or something like that.

I use both encrypt and hide tracking code. Not so sure if hiding tracking code makes a difference, but my earnings went up after I started encrypting.
