My site as been up for 3 months on the 7th and I can't seem to break the 35 visitors/day mark. It's almost like a glass ceiling. I rank #1 in MSN for my main keyword and I get backlinks through exchanges, article submissions, and directory submissions. I add at least a new page a week (used to be more but I am also working on 2 other new sites). I was in the top 3 for my keyword in Yahoo before the last update. Does anyone have any further advice on getting over this traffic hump? Am I doing things right and just need to be more patient? Thanks.

You are on the right track as far as adding content, which should bring in more visitors.

Keep in mind that some topics products only generate a minimal amount of daily traffic, so that could be what you are up against here. Also what would help would be to get some traffic from the other search engines.

Thanks for replying, it was looking like this thread was going to be ignored. Beyond PPC, how else would I diversify my traffic? I already have an Adwords account and it probably brings in 20% of my daily traffic. What other options are there?

Jonny...Try some contextual advertising on similar themed sites. You'll have to monitor that you get enough good quality traffic from these sites to make it worth your while to pay for advertising though. Advertising on other sites will shield your site from dropping in the SE's, if it does. Other than that, keep adding more pages of content. Sometimes it takes a while for all pages of a site to be picked up by the SE's and rank accordingly.
