Hello all,

I recently took over an affiliate marketing campaign that had little success before I did. The client has hundreds of affiliates that generate thousands of impressions daily, but very little traffic/leads/sales. This client wants to accept any site as an affiliate (with a few very important exclusions).

How do I improve the conversion rate for this program? The product is something that a lot of people should want to buy. Also, how do I recruit new affiliates from outside of the network? There is a lot of pressure to get this working, so I thought I'd see if anyone had some tips. Thanks

I know that I sign up with a lot of programs and decide not to promote them due to several factors. Outdated or a lack of creatives is usualy the biggest factor. A lack of clarity on the actual commission that is paid out another...

IN a nutshell if you build it does not mean they will come..

First off you have to give them a reson to come. Offer something free.

In my case I offer free training for my product.

But on my site we offer a free trial download then we offer free trainig video. So even if they do not purchase they are inn fact getting valuable info. Which might help down the road to upsell.

This affiliate program that goes along with this is effective as well because you can pretty much say that all the guys who buy are going to evenetually become affiliates.

I would take a step back and evaluate your site from customer standpoint, or better yet have someone go through it with a non bias opinion and find out what the turn offs are.

Affil's are a dime a dozen but you have to get the ball rolling in that THEY MUST have a decent product to sell.
