I started a few new sites a few months ago and put Adsense on it. It shows great potential.

However the earning is totally depends on Adsense. I tried cj.com, deliver 100000s impression without any earnings from it.

Incoming is completely count on Google which I don't really like.

How does you guys make money besides Adsense?

>100000s impression

Did you run banners? Or did you run text promos that lined up well with your content?

I run banners!

But because my sites have lots of differerent subjects, maybe that is a little problem!

Create sites around one specific subject and you can make some money.

(of course, there is more to it than that)

Yep, plugging in the same banners across several different topics ain't gonna work.

Affiliate marketing will take more time, but can be much more productive. Take a given site page or topic, find aff programs that complement it, and plug them in.

Then test, tweak, and try other programs until you find success.

yes, that is the problem, so it seems that Adsense is my only option?

You just need to find merchants with products related to the different content sections of your website. It will take a lot more work than slapping up AdSense ads or putting one banner across the entire site but is much more likely to pay off.
