Pay Per Call

Are any publishers utilizing these ads on their sites?

I've noticed that pay-per-call is being touted by ingenio and others (search on google for "pay per call"). I've tried to contact some of these networks and haven't received a response yet. Maybe I'm too small a player.

Have any publishers implemented pay per call listings on their sites or directories? This looks as if it's an open market right now especially for local search.

We have a financial site that has a local search option and would love to implement this form of advertising on our local pages.

Any comments or suggetions on this newer medium?

Anyone have any insight on this topic? I can't believe that there is absolutely no interest in this form of advertising.

Or is it just that not too many are aware of it?

LIke I posted in another similar thread, I have a £15 per call deal in the UK with a mortgage merchant paying out for anyone who stays on the line for 5 minutes or more. My gut said it would be a big rsk and if the call were answered by some bored teenager (no offence, but UK call centres are not big on staff qualifications and morale) I'd almost certainly lose money, so it's on hold until someone else posts a big success story on here.

I did intend to test it, but in the absence of anyone else doing the same decided not to make it my losses that we all learn from!
