I'm portuguese, but I live in the US, so Portuguese market doesn't quite apply for me.

I'll be going ot Portugal around the third week of July, PM me if you'd like to meet up!

Hi rfung, spanishl, xanubi, ....
Thanks (obrigado) for your answer.

I don't know if we can speak/write here in Portuguese? Moderators, can I or not?

But, ok, here I go in English:

rfung, spanishl, xanubi, I'm very new to these aspects of Affiliate MArketing and Programs, but during the last month I was reading everything I can about this matters, and I think I must go ahead with this and put some good ideias (in my opinion of course) running. Until now I didn't put any site up, neither i made myself affiliate of any program or marchant.

I think that I already understood all the kind of ways that we must follow to (try to) be a sucess in one way or other in AM and selling widgets of others.

I already read all the topics of this forum, as also another ones that there exists in the net, I read some e-books about the subject (like Rosalind Gardner, SiteSell, 5pilar, and some others about G, Y, cpc, cpm, ...) and I think I have the mininum knowledge to start just now to put my ideias in practice.

But.... one of the things that I didn't undertood is about Tax. (ou Impostos em Português). And is in this subject that I ask some help from you or other european members that are reading this post.

In this moment I'm (yet!) working to other company at full time. So in Português, "Eu sou um trabalhador por contra de outrem".

What I don't understand is if I (as an individual) must declare tax or not? Or can I subscrive to affiliate programs this way or not?

I'm asking this because for example, CJ in the signup form, asks about a VAT ID or VAT prefix PT, or something. Also, other ones asks about models W9 and models W8, that must be filled and sent by fax.

So, can you please clarify my questions/doubts about all this subjects of taxes?

Thanks rfung, spanishl, xanubi and All members.

Psazf i am portuguese and also about to enter the AM market in some days. If you want pm me so we can talk about this business.
You need to register for VAT in Portugal and give your number when registering with CJ.

I'm Portuguese too :)

Have tried AM to some extent but it's difficult to succeed in the portuguese market....few affiliate programs to start with and low trust on internet shopping.... PM me if you want to talk more.
