I was wondering if any of you could share the success (if any), pros, cons, and other other relevant comments you may have on using event ticket type affiliate programs?

there is a TON of competition for these programs, getting natural SE listings is next to impossible - the big guys are buying links by the hundreds to improve their rank. must be working for them though....
