First of all, I feel sorry for my english. I'm not very good with this language. Please be patient.

Can somebody tell me are ad-blockers serious problem? I want to pay for translation of my site from Russian to English and to compensate my losses using CPM-based ad. But I don't know how many visitors use ad-blockers and how many impressions I should expect from one thousand of pages viewed.

Only a few of russian visitors use ad-blockers, but it could change when moving from russian to english part of network.

Ad blockers aren't a serious problem yet. Many people have pop-up blockers, but most people don't even know that ad blockers exist. I don't have any numbers for you, but I'd be surprised if the percentage of people using ad blockers or browsers that had the side effect of blocking ads were more than 15%. This will change in the future, but for now, you should be okay.

Also, the English-speaking audience is so much larger than the Russian-speaking audience that it should more than make up for any extra ad blockers.

A lot of Norton's software such as Norton Internet Security seems to have adblocking installed by default. The problem is, in many cases when one buys a new computer the person can get this software preinstalled and not really realize it as it is done in the name of "internet security".

I haven't seen any numbers on this but as long as Norton continues to have this setting as a default the problem is likely to get larger.
