I've had this happen a few times, when my earnings jump. Last August I went from 600 a month to 2500, and then in February about another few thousand. Each time a part of my commission was held for an extra month, both times by the same advertiser.

Some transactions are not paid in the same month that the sale or transaction takes place so that the merchant can reverse them if the customer returns the item. You'll get lots of returns if you sell shoes. Jewelry and handbags are often held over for a month. HSN holds ALL payements for a month until the merchandise ships. It's just the way merchants protect themselves from paying out on orders that don't ship and those that get returned.
