I just took over the role of webmaster for a company/site that uses amazon affi marketing for cd's.
The previous webmaster 'disapear' and I don't know how, when, how much, what to do to get hold of the account login info etc...
I believe he registered everything under the company name(incl the account info) and the fact that he disaperared is not voluntary, i.e. the previous web guy is a good guy he hasn't done a runner or anything, he was a part-time web guy how couldn't cope with the amount of work the company required.
Now (couple of month since I got onboard) we have't been able to reach him, he live on the other side of the globe, the only email address we know of is on an expired domain.
How do I go about telling amazon all that and get hold of the login etc details for this site?
Thanks
Leo
Contact them at associates@amazon.com
If you know what city the previous webmaster is in, and you could get his phone number you will save yourself tons of time and trouble.
If all else fails you may want to open a new account and let the old one die out. But that would be a last resort
I've seen postings on those boards by people having difficulties because of a lost or forgotten primary email address, but none of them seemed to have gone as far as writing to Amazon.

Actually, unless you know that there is a significant amount of unpaid earnings in the account, it might be the easiest solution. Once you had a new Associate ID, you could do a global find-and-replace across the web site and swap it in for the old ID, and you'd be good to go.
