Hi,

I am running one small directory for loan services jam packed with affiliate links into various pages. I have started PPC and it worked well, because some of companies pay $10 to 20 per lead.

I am noticing that since last week there is no conversion with same clicks. I was reading few threads on this forum about stealing sales by spyware or by site owner, is this true? How to prevent it? What if merchant is stealing sales? How to overcome?

Thanks for any help in this regard.

You can't trust anyone until they have proven themselves to you. It could be spyware or/and a dishonest merchant or a third party ad server. If the ads aren't making money for you, for whatever reason, find someone else.

I don't know much about spyware, but I think the spyware could be on customer's computer that allows the cookie the merchant places on it to be changed so that when the customer buys something someone else gets the credit and commission instead of you. A lot of merchants don't care about this because they are making the sale no matter who gets the commission. This could be a reason a merchant isn't converting well for you. There's nothing you can do about this except to find another merchant.
