Are Pharmacy Affiliate Programs Risky?

I'm planning to join this industry but not sure.

Hey there,

Guys can You help me out here.
I've researched and discovered a few pharmacy niche keywords that have very little competition. And now I'm planning to invest about $50 into PPC advertising and make some profit.

Problem is I'm not sure which company is reliable. When I started reading some affiliate posts elsewhere, I discovered that some companys are dropping out of business and not paying affiliate commissions. So I'm wondering should I join this niche or look for something else. I'm a student, and $50 is max that I can afford. So my first question is...

1. Is it possible to make a profit investing only $50 in PPC's, then taking the profit made and reinvesting back?

2. Second, wich pharmacy affiliate program is the best?

There are tons of them, but how to know which one is reliable? How can I be sure that it'll pay me the commissions if I'll make any? Do You know any other reliable ones that bring You profit and pay commissions?

Lastly, I've read also many posts where people say like, I've spent 75 bucks on PPC, but got 0 conversions... while others are saying that online pharmacy is amazing niche where You can make tons of money... I'm little confused...

And also heard people saying that one PPC works well, while the other brings 0 conversions. I start thinking that it's not PPC fault mostly, but the keyword you target and how your website converts. I think I have few great keywords with low competition. I think I can design a pretty landing page also. What do You think, is it possible to make a profit with my first investment?

I was counting... If I advertise on FindWhat (I'm planing to choose this one for pharmacy terms) for 5 cents a click, spend $25, get 500 clisk. With 1% C.R. I get 5 sales. If I get 30% commissions, and it is about $10 per sale, so it is $50 in profit, right? Spend 25, get 50, spend 100, get 200 or smth...

So are my calculations true? Is it possible to make money being pharmacy affiliate? Then which one I should join? Or maybe I should target completely different niche?

Sorry, I'm confused, I need a reliable advice to finally not miss and make a buck online.

My advice would probably be to find another area. Not only is this arena not a niche arena, but you would be bidding against top affiliate and PPC marketers. If there are keywords that are cheap, it's for a reason.

You may also have some TOS issues to contend with if you're using Adwords. I think I read somewhere that you must have some kind of certification to push drugs through their PPC. SquareTrade I think it is?

Yes, you are correct about the "certification" for google PPC. We used to do pharmacy, but it's a bit too risky nowadays IMHO.

But there's also (probably) a reason that those few, cheap ads hang in there, I think. I believe that there definately are some niches, that not so many people have discovered yet. But heck, what do I know...

Yah, I heard that G. banned majority of pharmacy ads... But I'm planning to promote on FW (Hope they haven't adopted such policy...yet...)

Thanks guys for advices. I'm planning to research other markets, but I can't find any low-competitive ones. Maybe it's worth paying little more that .10 and getting into (at least) the middle of those competitors... and stop looking or non-competitive keywords.
