I've been applying to vendors in a new niche for a new site we're working on. Here's a new (atleast to me) excuse we're seeing from a number of merchants in this area.

"Lack of other major brands on site as partners"

Good one ...

That is the politically correct translation of:

"we don't take non US affiliates"

Lest, they look like they are anti-your nationality and offend you and your fellow citizens.

At the end of the day it doesnt matter. Gives me more reason to have a good chat with the folks over at Linkshare. :)
