Yes, it was at least a week ago. We were hoping to get a detailed explanation of all charges and the review process.

Our company used to use them alot but it eventually got too expensive. Now it looks like things may have come back down so we're just hoping to find out.

hmmm

sorry i don't know then,

although for the record i found them most helpful, there is a charge for the review wether you get allocated the realname or not,

but they helpfully pointed out to me which of my submissions was bound for failure thereby saving quite a few $$

Is there any per click charge with them for high traffic terms or is the only expense the review and initial registration?

They offer no per click charge as far as I know and you can still purchase keywords for $49

no per click, the price is per country and varies usa =$49 so does uk some other countries are more!!

but the gold/premium is much more for this you get no1 on msn (but they are much more strict about allowing you the keyword)

click_watcher - do you onow what the deal is with the gold/premium option. Is that a per click deal a flat out buy of some kind or a combination?

>>>all my basic keywords($49)are showing at #1 on MSN

are they? thanks tigger thats really handy to know, hmmm i need to look into that again, you registered keywords for usa with the $49 option and you're getting the msn placement, thats great.

>>>>do you know what the deal is with the gold/premium option. Is that a per click deal a flat out buy of some kind or a combination?

heres the answer i got from realnames ...

"The Keyword Plus review is priced
at 299.00 per review. The review team looks at each Keyword to see if it
is the brand of the company registering it, or if it a unique term. If the
word or term is not unique or your company brand, the Keyword will not be
approved for registration. Part of the 299.00 fee pays for the editorial
team to make pre-approved suggestions that you can register for 199.00 each."

the registration fee is then charged annually.
i actually asked about a generic 2 keyword pair and found them
extremely helpful, they replied thus...

"If you were wanting to register something like the name
summer holiday It would not be allowed as a Keyword Plus. If
you were to try summer holiday in bongo bongo and this is unique to your
company or your company was the most likely expectation for a user to get to
when typing in a term like this, the editorial team would most likely
approve it. If there are many, well known companies that also sell these
holidays, it would be denied."

nb. i've changed the keyword here.

To be honest if it was me I wouldn't the clients that have purchased "keywords" get very little if any traffic from them at all, if your looking at buying a keyword I would put money into PPC's as you will see traffic from them

I see *very* little traffic from them. Keyword prices are calculated from historic searches. The more searches done in the past the more you have cough up. AFAIK they go for something like $500(!) a pop in DK going through the resellers
