Like quite a few other people in this forum, I've been inspired by reading some of the other stories of success, so I decided to post about my efforts here. Here is a little background:

-this site will feature articles about a topic that I love, the stock market

-I have been involved in the SEO industry for about 2 1/2 years now

-I am a programmer (I hate programming but hey, I do it), and this site will be programmed with PHP and a MySQL backend.

-the site in question is completely new (PR 0, no backlinks)

I will keep you all posted on my progress, and the steps that I take to gain traffic. Wish me luck!

So far, on day 1, I have:

-made a rough front page, set up the MySQL backend and written a php files that will display the articles that I write.

-applied to Adsense and have incorporated the code into my article pages

I plan on writing 3-4 articles per day.

Total earned so far: $0.0

If you're going to post how much you've earned, would you mind posting how much you spent on advertising too? It would give a good reference to the actual profitability of your project :)

Good luck!

I will definitely post what I spend on advertising, but I plan on keeping it as close to zero as possible.

I started in the same shoes as you about 4 weeks ago. My site is an info site and has been up for 1 month today. I have been adding about an article a day since then and now I am getting about 100 uniques a day constantly.
However I'm not sure where to go from here.
I'll keep adding articles but have really no idea what to expect in the way of revenue from adsense or CJ.
I don't know how well I can convert or how much traffic will it will take to make some coin.

I just started my second site and hope to have it up this weekend...My goal is to clear $100 per day also

Best of luck to ya, and keep us informed.

I may have missed the announcement, but I thought it was against AdSence TOS if you post your earnings?

Hey,

I may have missed the announcement, but I thought it was against AdSence TOS if you post your earnings?

It is, but who cares?

C.K.

I'm certainly not the Adsense police and I don't care if anyone posts their Adsense earnings. So, who cares? All the potential business partners here that see that you don't honor a contract.

I mean no disrespect to any of the previous posters in this thread. I just want to point out the obvious.

Sorry guys-

Just trying to help out... I don't want to see someone's account get suspended because of ignorance. I personally don't care how much you spout off about your check.

And since it's now fine to talk about it, this point is moot.

Google broke the covenant with webmasters when they started messing with our sites through their toolbar and integrating links to other sites without our permission.

I don't know why people are so keen to act at the Google Police when they don't get paid a penny for it. But there'll always be people with such personalities around. Some people got too much time on their hands. Google doesn't give a damn about no one else.

It's going very slow...only cents per day so far. Although Tuesday and wednesday hit almost enough for a burger and fries...
I was busy getting a second site up last week so I slacked on the main site for a few days...but I'm back to an article a day now...
