I am thinking about how people can keep high traffic in their website?I think it must selling something or must has forum in the website.I think building a HUGE website is really take alot of time,How can you do that?Or it no need to do the Biggest site also can earn some pocket money. Manage the forum also take alot of time, I guess it must has other way to earn money in some ways. eg: One site no item for sell and no forum, How can keep high traffic? how the people stay long time in your website? Take a content about something to do a website? It is the main question in doing in the EARN MONEY website I know......(sorry for bad english )

I don't build a huge website. My site just went over 200 pages. I don't have a forum. Of course, I also don't have a lot of traffic or earn huge amounts of money. I'm earning $600 per month from a "labor of love" part-time site -- that justifies the time I spend on it.

There are MANY possibilities. Some people here do one-page sites, others do small sites targeted at niches. Others do directories, big content sites, etc.

You need to settle on a subject that interests you and plan a site that you will be able to keep up with.

Forget a forum if you're trying to build a site for the purpose of making money. They create a lot of headaches and are notorious for not converting well. Advertisers, and by extension you, want fresh new eyeballs every day, not the same ones again today who didn't click the ad yesterday.

The only time you should create a forum, in my opinion, is if it is not out of hopes for profit but because you enjoy discussing whatever topic your site is about.

Well it depends on what the forum is around. One of my forums brings in well over $10K a month (about 10K members and 4000 uniques a day only), mostly from banner sales and google adsense. I agree that most forums are poor converters, however its not always the case :)

Gosh, I have a forum that has nearly 30,000 members and 5000 uniques a day, but brought in less than $100 last month!

It is easy to built huge sites using automatic site generating programs, it is just that you run the risk of being banned by Google.
