With G's EPC tanking I ran a comparison today.

G vs K

I have K's ads on my domain page www.*****.com
I have G's ads on a second layer page www.*****.com/**.html
Both pages have about the same number of hits.+- 3%

Here is what I have found out today.
G 1.8% ctr epc $0.105
K 2.1% ctr epc $1.78

The clear winner here is K

I am going to continue to run both for couple of days and see what happens.

One note in the TOS for K is that they hold 10% of your earnings for any chargebacks or invalid clicks. With this much difference I do not care. One other benefit I have noticed is that K's ads open in a new window so your visitor stays on your site.

And before anyone complains that I violated G's TOS for stating the epc. I do not care. It is so low it is worthless to me anyway.

definitely keep us posted. I noticed on their info page that they claim to better monetize than various others. certainly, paying out better than adsense (particularly when smart pricing takes you on a rollercoaster ride and/or leaves a swath of devastation for your efforts)would be a smart marketing move.

K offers topic related ads where as G offers content related ads. However I depends a lot on your content as what CPM you have mentioned is too less for G.

This is why Kanoodle doesn't tally for me (the guy that pays for the clicks) - If you are getting 10X the EPC from Kanoodle, then assuming the same margins by thetwo engines, then my ROI is ten times higher on Kanoodle....

I do not disagree with the logic - in fact about 10 times the ROI cost on Kanoodle is about right! Which is why I don't advertise on Kanoodle at the moment.

Beware the easy money. Let's see how big the actual paycheck is and for how long the ride lasts.

too much information

Is there a reason you can't run the ads on the same page?

Not at the same time of course, but alternating for every other page view, or alternating randomly, etc. Is that against anyone's TOS?

the google vs kanoodle debate is much different when you hear the advertisors. They ( the advertisors ) all #*$! about the crumby returns. I am not going to switch over to a ad agency ( as a publisher ) that isn't providing a good return on investment for our shared customer base.

Think longterm

there will be better options available sooner or later don't go with the first one the presents itself if its low quality.

I'm doing that right now with adsonar - every page view alternates between adsense and adsonar.

I may go alternate between adsense and kanoodle because adsonar's ad matching algo doesnt seem to be quite on target (or to say it bluntly, it's way off target). K is topic based and they do have my site's topic covered...

I'd give Kanoodle a 20% head start just for paying with PayPal.
I hate having to cash USD checks.

I'm going to try them on one of higher hit volume simplist topic sites
