Commission not yet showing from cj

How long does it take to show the commission?

I set up some advertising for a website through Commission Junction. I personally placed two orders with them and another person one. NONE of the three orders have registered with Commission Junction. I have not made any commission. I have not been able to contact the merchant either through phone or email. No replies to my emails and no answer at their 866 number.

I have contacted Cj and was advised to wait longer. What would you do?

Thanks

I would wait a day or two. I know that many cj merchants takes up to 2 days to confirm orders.

It depends on the merchant. Many (if not most) report almost instantaneously (appearing in your reports within an hour). Others batch report. The ones who batch report should usually show up within 24 hours if they report on orders, or within 24 hours of shipping if they report on shipments.

You can look at the merchant page on CJ to see if they batch report or not.

Well, I know one merchant that batches for a WEEK!
Give it a few more days.

also...CJ has been having some intermittent reporting trouble for the last couple days and apparently won't be resolved until midnight Pacific time tonight...

UPDATE

Today I received my order in the mail and also my credit card was charged. I still have NOT seen the sale show up in CJ. It appears CJ is allowing them to get away with this.

Yes, I am 100% sure I used the proper link when placing the order.

There's been some discussions about the big players in the industry letting tracking fall through the cracks.

This issue might be starting to be something to seriously look into. I'm gonna place an order for one of my merchants through CJ and see how it goes...

Don't worry. You're not alone and CJ knows about it (and as a longtime CJ.com user I know they're good about taking care of these thing). You will find the following alert at CJ.com:

CJ Account Manager Experiencing Delays [Updated: Feb 17, 2005 11:42 AM PST]

CJ Account Manager™ functionality and reporting is experiencing intermittent delays and will be updated as soon as possible. Tracking and recording of transactions is fully functional. Thank you for your patience.

Because I have gotten NO response for the company I was selling I lean more toward them being dishonest. In my contacts with CJ they have said nothing about any delays.

Paris,

How long have you used CJ? What gets me is that they did put the alert up, but it is now Feb 19th...i would think they should put up another update by now. Maybe give us some mor insight into the problem?

I've been on this other affiliate forum and it seems as though in these situtations reporting never fully catches up and some sales do fall through the mess...

I gave up on CJ for that very reason. 100% of products I bought through my own CJ links never got credited to me and I run a very spyware/scumware/adware free computer.
