Adsense and adsonar

What if they are both displayed on the same page?

I have recently added adsonar as alternate ads for google adsense. But it sometimes happens that one of the ad bars has google adsense and the other google adbar does not have enough ads so it displays the adsonar ads. Is this against the TOS?

Yes it is against the tos you can show a text ad that looks like adsense.

Well.. I did want to implement the adsonar as I feel that many impressions are going to waste as adsense impressions are far lower to the number of page views in my stats.
When I have one ad block there's no issue... since either adsense OR adsonar is being shown. For the pages whith two adsense bars what I have one is that I've put the adsonar as the alternate ads for the first adsense. Hopefuly [and logicaly] the second ad bar will not get populated with adsense leaving the first adsense [which appears first in the code] with the alternate ads [adsonar]. What do you guys think? Will there be any problem?

Also I am not aware of the adsonar payouts? Are they comparable to adsense?

roycerus> There shouldn't be any problem with the way you've set it up. If you only use AdSonar as an alternative with the first adsense panel (ie. the one that comes highest in your code) then your three panels would either be:

a) AdSense, AdSense, AdSense
b) AdSense, AdSense, nothing
c) AdSense, nothing, nothing
d) AdSonar, nothing, nothing

which means you are not breaking anyone's TOS.

I think the general consensus with AdSonar is that the CPC is a little higher than AdSense but the narrower advertiser base means that CTR is lower.
