I've just come across a .com.au domain name that has expired and is available for purchase. A search on Google turns up 8 pages of references to this domain name. I estimate it has at least 50 inbound links. I'm not exactly sure what I can do with it as the name, although catchy, might not be applicable to a wide range of products (some bathroom products, etc. perhaps, perhaps others, I'd have to have a good think about this).

What are peoples thoughts on the opportunities (or lack of) here?

I'm a noob to AM, I've been lurking here for a while and reading as many posts as possible, so any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I guess you'd have to ask yourself what you wuold do with the domain if you did buy it. If you can't come up with an answer, I'm not sure why you would waste your time with it. Know what I mean?

I just thought the fact that this was previously an AM site, has pre-existing inbound links, and that it may be possible to pick up the original product and add additionals may represent an opportunity.

As I'm a noob I guess I'm interested in experienced peoples opinions of whether this DOES constitute an opportunity or not?
