I went to the linkshare conference today, and they announced they will be going to single check system this year. More details will follow on the website but the keypoints are as follows
All existing affiliates will have to go through a third party for address/identity verification, starting in February or March
The plan will be phased in after that with the projected date of April and the first check coming in May

Excellent! One of the big reasons I stopped using linkshare was the fact that the cost / check for overseas publishers was high.
They offered to consolidate and send one check in my currency... never did see the check. Gave up on getting my 700 odd dollars from them and gave up promoting their mechants.
