What do you do with an AM site that you've given up on

I got into this really, really, really weird niche that seemed like a potential moneymaker. The competiton was very weak.

I found a couple of affiliates and signed up with them directly on 20-25% commission. Banged up a new site in a few days. With no submission but pure SEO and internal link structure I started making about 80 visits per day.

I've made a some sales. One of which was actually canceled because of credit card fraud - once again - this is a very shady niche. Anyways, to my disappointment, I'm only making 10-20 cents per click. This barely covers my hosting bill. I tried the products of both of my affiliates and found that they were CRAP. Now, I'm starting to hate this web site and this niche.

Do you think I should pull the plug? Put it on eBay? Do you think is worth saving it or should I move on to another niche?

cant u host more than one site on the same hosting service? I do have a couple of sites that I've given up on but they still pull in 25 cents a day or so.

Will you sell it to me? A site that has actually made a couple of sales is worth developing.

I think you can host as many sites as you want if you had your own dedicated server. I guess this will save you $$$ if you had a lot of sites.

kwngian, I'd sell to you if you want it but I gotta warn you - it's a really shady niche. 99% of the competition doesn't have a clue what the hell they are doing.
The domain is very good and I would give it to anyone willing to compensates my 6 long days of work that I put in. I developed my own admin system for the site that is buggy and incomplete. You'll need to know PHP.

I feel you Essex_boy. Time to head back to the pub and start thinking about a new niche. :)

I get my best ideas when I'm relaxing. :)

You said this as if it's a bad thing? I'd think it's good.

I don't know. It could also mean that there's little perspective in this niche.

Does that really work? I've seen "link broker" websites but wasn't really sure if I'd be able find sponsors (especially with this type of niche and my medicore, undeveloped site).

You'll attract much less attention selling ADVERTISING on more sites with less greenbar as opposed to one site with more greenbar.

Of course selling ADVERTISING isn't without risks, so I'd NEVER sell ADVERTISING on something you weren't prepared to lose. Be careful about interlinking it with your own stuff, as you don't want to get caught being your own nest of sites.
