Hello Everybody,
I am a webdesigner and have near 5 websites in list. I have recently acquired a list of clients from the UK by sending them emails from their website and also usinng various other search engines. I have not acquired any database or such from 3rd party to send emails from my outlook or outlook express. Each email was sent to the individual one by one. I would like to know if this is unsolicited email and could this be considered spam? of so, How can i email people at the first place to acquire business over the web. I dont intend to break the rules of the web and any law. I want to get the best results and be legal at the same time. Does anyone know how i could promote my business without being illegal in anyway. If you have any new ideas on promoting my website please also let me know of the same. I have a website which makes no more than 100 hits a day and its been there for 3 years now. Thats a bit too disappointing. I would appreciate your help.

Best regards
Rajeev Sahadevan (Design2host.net)

I once received an email and the first line read something like this is not spam. I am contacting you individually or something like that. I did take the time to read it. Maybe they will too!

As far as your hits, having good text using keywords on the home page is what the search engines like :-)

Good Luck!

One other thing that will help you in your search engine rankings is to trade links with sites that have similar content. If you have not done so already...make a page for link partners and go ahead and put their link on your site and then contact them and let them know you have already added them to your site. Send along your info (site name, url, short description...) Ask them if they will trade links. I think you will get a good response. If they say no then just delete them off your site.
Search using your key words and try to trade links with those sites who rank high up. If they do not have a link page on their site I would not bother contacting them.
I am going to send you a sticky of a site to check out that will help you with your search engine optimization. You will find a lot of helpful ideas

Have a good day!
