Entertainment Field Saturated?

Tried to get my movie site picked up by Burst but got a don't-call-us reply ...

<<Although your site certainly does represent specialty content, at present we simply have more properties in our Entertainment category then we have advertisers to support them. To add additional inventory to such an under-performing category would not be fair to you
or our current publishers.>>

I've put so much work into my site and traffic is starting to pick up nicely, I'm loathe to ditch it and move on. OTOH, if "entertainment" is saturated, maybe I need to think seriously about what to do.

Thoughts, suggestions, donations?

Eh, I'm in Burst, and it hasn't been that great. You're not missing out that much IMO.

I was in Burst for years, made next to nothing.

I think I make more on Adsense a week then I ever made in Burst in a year.

I wouldn't give up your entertainment site just yet, there are plenty of other CPM programs out there worth trying out for. Give Casale, Fast Click, and Tribal Fusion a whirl too.

Thank you for your thoughts and info. I'll hang in with my site a while longer -- I've put a lot of time into it.

No offense, but if you're going to just decide, willy nilly, to dump your site because the field is "saturated", then you never had any true enthusiasm for the site/its content in the first place. If that's the case, I don't know why you'd bother, since entertainment sites really take a lot of work, and the field is crowded as heck. Without dedication and some measure of tireless enthusiasm for it, you'd be better off doing something more profitable -- like Porn.

P.S. I have a movie site because I LOVE movies. Can't stop watching them. Can't stop talking about them. That translates into me loving to work on my site.
