I wish affiliate programs would let you see what companies they had FIRST before you sign up. There are so many out there. What are some good affiliate programs that have women/family geared products?

If you haven't already, join Commission Junction, and Linkshare as a publisher and checkout some of the advertisers listed in the categories you mentioned.

You should also google for the terms you are looking for and add "affiliate program" to your search.

Ok, I co-own the site with my sister. We are already signed up with Linkshare and Shareasale. But my sister is a dimwit and signed up with Commission Junction and never logged in or put any affiliates up before I decided to partner up with her. Needless to say Commission Junction deactivated our account for inactivity. I don't know how to get back in with Commission Junction now and am quite aggrivated. So either I need other affiliates or I need to figure out how to get back in Commission Junction or both would be good.

Thanks for all your input.

You should be able to re-register with Commission Junction.
They just don't want dormant accounts, that's all.
If your re-registration is being denied, try with a different email address.

Alternatively fashion (tradedoubler has a section solely for this). E.g. my wife buy loads of stuff from "Fat Face", here in the UK and they have a aff programme.

Depends on what lifestyle / lifestage of women you're targetting.

Your urban career woman has different requirements from your suburban home maker and every other category in between.

Women (and I might be stereotyping here) tend to go through a few more lifestages and changes than men. If you can identify what those changes are and target women in transition, effectively, you'll get some killer stats working for you.

Example.... urban career woman who has just found out she is pregnant. To-be-moms are a brilliant demographic, given that they look for ease of use, are stressed and their lifecycle as consumers can be about 2-4 years -- again if you target them correctly.

Would recommend you look at a book called Marketing to women, by Martha Barletta.

Affiliate programs? eBay is a good one if used correctly for moms, suburban parents. I'm a well known fan of Amazon and there are a ton of CJ / Linkshare programs which can be tuned for your segment.
