What is up with Ebay? For the past month I have been sending a considerably amount of traffic there and have gotten a string of $0.10 commissions. I have read over the rules of how everything works, but what has me stumped is how the rollbacks occur. If the user signs up and bids, it should be $12.00 in commissions. Now, I got a couple of those, and they "rolled back" as did most of the $0.10 commissions. How can a bid roll back?! Once you bid, you bid...you can't take it back. As ebay says, "it's a contract". Am I missing something here or does this organization have double standards as far as "contracts" are concerned?

ebay corrects transactions from other venues after the fact. They compare cookie times for other traffic sources that don't use CJ tracking and give credit to the most recent click.

Somewhat dubious, but I hear they are working on integrating it real time.

It is disconcerning seeing red on the reports... I think about 30% of my traffic is retracted. So sad seeing 2 registrations in 2 days turning red... Oh well, there are always other programs.

True, there are other programs, but nothing can match the prices of ebay nor the excitement of the bid!

Plus, it's a great way to make a good commission on really low priced items (which people are more willing to put their hands in their pockets)...

I asked the ebay VP @ pubcon about this. He stated they would have real time commissions working correctly early next year

That's great to know...Do you think this phenomenon is a result of "non-real" time and after the changes take place we will see the cash rolling in?! :)

Can somebody tell me about what percentage of Active Registrations they have had rolled back in the past couple months? All I ask is that you have a decent sample size (like 50+ at least) to work with so the statistic is of some meaning. I'd like to get a better handle on what to expect from ebay. Thanks!
