best ad solution for general interest high traffic site?

i have a general interest site that gets about 3 million page views per month. if i am willing to go with any ad style (i.e. pop ups, pop unders, etc.) what is the best ad network solution for me, in terms of maximizing earnings?

I would think Google Adsense would be best, along with a couple of high paying affiliate programs that match the interest subject of your site. Adsense is a ppc service, and the affiliate programs will give you revenue, generally on a sale. May I ask what type of content your site is basically?
