Hi,

If I have added google adsense, can I join another text link affiliate program?

When you signed up for Google, you agreed to their terms/policies that include mention that Google does not allow you to run other contextual advertising programs on the same page as AdSense.

If they are plain affiliate links, those are fine. But if they are displaying text ads based upon the individual content of each page, those are considered contextual advertisers, and not permitted by Google.

Just as a follow up question/comment, I'm assuming as long as you don't have adsense and other contextual advertising on 1 page its fine with google and it is also ok with google if you have a mixture of adsense and other contextual advertising in your site but not on the same page.

Yes, this is fine. It is on a page per page basis.

Don't forget that other contextual advertisers may have their own restrictions as well.

you could also try using some of these competing contextual ads as your adsense alternative ads, so just in case adsense doesn't serve up ads for a specific page on your site, these other ads will be displayed instead
