$75 for a PR 2 site?

Is it worth it?

Hi guys,

I've been looking at a particular domain name related to my affiliate site is it worth it to buy the domain name at this price in your opinion if you were in my shoes? it's in a highly paid ppc industry.

regards.

I don't pretend to know, but from my layman's perspective, $75 seems like a cheap price if you REALLY want that domain name.

$75? Don't think twice. Go for it.

I agree. If it is a good domain name, that is cheap. I wouldn't worry if it is only a PR2, as long as it's in the index and not penalized.

Check Y* for backlinks. If there are backlinks (even just a couple PR0's) and you decide not to buy, I will. ;)

thanks for your comments.

After doing some more research at market leap I found that this domain name has about 2282 inbound links. Sounds like a good deal.

And also, my research shows its currently not penalized.

I'm gonna go for it!

Another test worth trying is checking it in Alexa. I know Alexa can be fixed etc but I think I've found it really useful when checking expired domains.

I bought a .com domain name 3 weeks ago for $112. It was still ranking in the top 20 on goole for the KWs I was after even with no site. It had a PR of 5 and was ranked in the top 2 million on Alexa.
3 weeks on and it's still in the top 20.
