Today while surfing I found a site that had AdSense type adsection on it and it read "Ads by Overture" I was wondering if anyone else have seen or heard about Overture having a AdSense type program.

Snapshot of it

Without wanting to sound facetious the Overture ad program is common knowledge especially here on webmasterworld.

(in fact there is a forum dedicated to this here as well)

Sorry but it seems like we are not on the same page, however I could be wrong, it would be greatly appreciated if you would be kind enough to find other thread for me that would help me understand/answer my above questions.

Thank you for your help in advance :)

Hello Ska,

I am not talking about Overture's PPC Program.

Lets put it like this, Overture PPC program is in a way similar to Google's AdWords program, right?

Now Google also have a program called AdSense, where the ads also shows the text like "Ads by Gooooogle", right? This AdSense program is in a way a revenue share program where publishers make money by displayed AdWords on their website, right?

Now what I am talking about is Google AdSense type program by Overture.

So can you please find me a link that will enable me or others to signup into Overture's Adsense type system? Where they will send me the money for having ads on my website.

But those big networks normally don't display "Ads by Overture" and the site that I have taken the snapshot does not seems to be the class of yahoo/cnn or others.

So it seems like they are either testing something or ....

My thoughts too. I've seen these ads myself which is why i "assumed" that content match was available to all. In fact I'm sure i've seed overture ads on some pretty junky sites.

[content.overture.com...]

our minimum is 30 million page views a month

If you get that kinda traffic you could qualify. I sure wish I qualified. :)

Overture seems to be beta testing what appears to be a competitive product to AdSense for regular publishers. This seems to be a different program than the ContentMatch version of contextual advertising that we are all familiar with.

Hi Jenster, Would you be willing to make a wild guess, when they might launch this program?

they'll let you in for less if you are in a 'hot' area but require you to go exclusively 1yr minimum with them dropping Gadsense
