I'm looking to ramp up our affiliate program and am looking for suggestions. We currently have over 500 affiliates and out of that 500 we have a handful of good producers but I need to get this program even stronger. We have a great program, in my opinion, but still struggle to find good affiliates that can convert for us. So I am hoping you guys can throw me a few suggestions in seeking some out.

Here is what I have done so far (and continue to do):

1. Got listed in all of the affiliate program directory sites I could find.

2. Searched the web for sites that I feel would do well promoting our offers and contacted them by email or phone.

3. We have done cross promotion swaps with other affiliate managers via affiliate newsletters.

4. Paid to post in some of the larger affiliate forums.

5. Looked into joining some of the bigger affiliate networks but not sure if the costs involved are worth it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Just curious. What's your affiliate theme/topic?

You said, "... affiliates that can convert for us." Maybe your program would be better if you could convert more of the traffic the affiliates send you.

webmastertexas- I sent you a sticky

guitaristinus- I should have phrased that differently. Our site converts very well and we are always making changes to increase conversions even more.
