Well, I am finally fully jumping into the affiliate world. :) After using cj.com for a few years to just cover my webhosting, I am now going to try and make some real money. Guess I need to wait a few days and see if my selling widgets through adwords pays off!

I just started selling widgets last wekk. First click I make a sell!

Past week haven't made another one. So I made about $6 and spent about $15. I think it may be time to re-evaluate my ad and widget.

Right now my stategy is to bid pretty low and hope to get some good clicks. My budget is only $5/day so i don't lose too much. I pay about $.50/click when the top clicks are proly around $3-$5 and the widget is around $40-$60.

I think I may try another strategy where I spend $25 in one day and get that top spot and see how that converts.

MFishy, other big guys, would you recommend going for the desperate clicks or blowing your test budget ($25-$50) all in one day?

Thanks!

You might want to spread your widgets around and not necessarily concentrate on one widget unless you know it is a profitable area ( which you probably won't know without testing, unless a friend happened to have told you about this widget).

"unless you know it is a profitable area"

I agree with eljefe3. Also, an area where bottom feeder terms are costing 50 cents a click may not be the best product to learn how to run PPC with. PPC can be complicated - you may want to take the time to learn the ropes with a product that is a little more inexpensive to advertise and take it from there.

Well, so far so good! In my first 10 hours, I paused it over night, I earned 400% :) Now to see what today holds!

Yeah, but as you know better than anyone, eljefe, sometimes concentrating on one offering and really dominating can bring the "rain" as well!
